Ken Anderson Alliance

The Ken Anderson Alliance is a nonprofit that provides an array of individual and group services for adults with developmental disabilities. This includes day and evening programing with a focus on work, music, art and other social activities. The mission is to provide a quality of life that enables adults with disabilities to develop and sustain lifelong relationships, independence and self-esteem while contributing to the larger community.

Position Description:

Ken Anderson Alliance CEO will provide vision and leadership for the agency. The primary KAA services include day and evening group programming, music and art therapy and supportive employment services along with developing supportive housing services to open in 2025-26. The CEO will have an unique opportunity to grow the organization through expanded services and strategic partnerships. KAA is seeking an individual to provide overall management of the organization, while growing the agency and its impact on the community. The CEO will drive the Medicaid reimbursable and private fundraising efforts, while working collaboratively with the Leadership team and direct service professionals to ensure quality of care and financial sustainability.


Duties:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Guide the organization and promote the mission to internal and external stakeholders as the face of the agency in order to communicate mission and activities.
  2. Lead strategic planning in coordination with the Board to ensure the execution of the multi-year plan
  3. Lead, manage, develop, and direct staff, volunteers as well as the organizational culture, in partnership with the Board and leadership team.
  4. Develop deep relationships with other individuals and organizations in the community aligned with the KAA mission including funders, donors and other advocates.
  5. Involved in active community outreach while keeping the organization’s leadership informed of noteworthy developments and changes both internally and externally in the community and beyond.
  6. Support KAA’s private fundraising and development along with the Board and Development Director
  7. Advance a culture of inclusiveness, diversity, and collaboration.
  8. Oversee sound and compliant financial management practices, with focus on revenue maximization and budgeting
  9. Develop, inform and support the Board and its committees to carry out their functions.


Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Recognized leadership skills in overseeing complex services; preferably in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) sector.
  2. Proven experience developing financial strategies to ensure the organization’s sustainability and growth.
  3. Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders.
  4. Ability to think strategically and lead execution of all strategies and priorities.
  5. Previous experience managing diverse programs and overseeing profit and loss responsibilities with knowledge of the IDD Medicaid system.
  6. Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant leadership experience
