Compensation and Benefits Survey
The 2024 OPRA Compensation and Benefits Survey Report is HERE!
OPRA’s Compensation and Benefits Survey is a biennial survey started over two decades ago to understand the current status of the workforce supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For the 2024 survey, members of the OPRA Human Resources Committee worked with OPRA staff to review and extensively update the survey questions to ensure the report is as helpful as possible. OPRA contracts with a third party to conduct, analyze, and report the survey results.
Survey Report Purpose
The purpose of the Survey is to help OPRA Members benchmark their compensation and other related human resource management systems against their fellow Ohio providers.
Survey Report Completion
In May of 2024, OPRA members were sent the data collection tool. For the 2024 survey, 80 Members responded, representing just under 50% of the OPRA membership.

Note on Survey Results
We extensively discussed the timing of the survey and report. Much of the data was collected using data on 2/1/24. When selecting this date, we wanted a point in time after the first-rate increase began. We also needed to account for anti-trust laws and to collect and analyze data, but still wanted to publish a report before most agencies began working on their year-end budgets. We recognize this timing is not perfect and that the report will not account for the full extent of the budget increases. Despite this, we hope the survey brings value to your organization.

Survey Report Purchase
The Compensation and Benefits Survey is one of the most popular activities of OPRA. Participating agencies automatically receive a free copy of the results. Copies of the survey report are available for purchase by non-participating OPRA Members and Non-Members.
