Position Description:

As Director of Nursing, you will develop a culture of caring excellence towards residents and staff, leading the Nursing department in providing medical care for our residents. Residents range in age from children under one year of age to senior citizens. Our residents live here; they learn, grow, and have special relationships with our staff. Our length of stay is measured in decades rather than days. You will work with pediatrics and adults, providing excellent clinical care and supporting individuals to live their very best lives every day!

  • Coordinates overall medical care of residents; maintains regular communication with the Medical Director and/or staff physicians regarding overall health and medical needs of residents.
  • Ensures adequate nursing coverage in assigned facility; Schedules nursing supervisors, shift coordinators, and medical records secretary.
  • Ensures that all medications and treatments are administered per physicians' orders.
  • Ensures that all nursing functions, activities, procedures, and records are in compliance with regulatory agency standards including Medicaid, Medicare, Licensure, OSHA, etc.


  • Registered nurse (RN) with current licensure from the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
  • Current CPR required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Experience with developmental disability population strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible nursing and managerial experience.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to effectively coach staff.
  • Proactive and effective communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Dedicated to working in a team environment collaborating with all levels of the organization.

Travel Involved:

Very limited travel.
