The Clearwater Council of Governments is committed to collaborating with our partners to enhance people's lives, one system, one community and one person at a time. The Clearwater COG membership consists of nine (9) County Boards of Developmental Disabilities. Currently, Clearwater COG includes the following counties: Crawford, Erie, Huron, Lucas, Marion, Morrow, Ottawa, Richland, and Seneca.

Position Description:

We are seeking to fill the position of Fiscal/HR Assistant. This position provides general fiscal and human resources administrative support for the agency and Clearwater COG members.

Duties:

Performs fiscal duties related to a pooled fund agreement, includes maintaining financial statements and providing monthly financial reports.
Responsible for bookkeeping tasks. Review invoices for accuracy and verify mathematical accuracy.
Gathers and compiles information for monthly board meetings.
Assists the Director of Fiscal Operations and Director of Human Resources with any requests. Performs a variety of clerical tasks and other related duties as required.
Provides administrative support with a focus on human resources, including but not limited to responding to applicants, scheduling interviews, preparing new hire packets, tracking certifications and training, and recordkeeping.
Creates and maintains various Excel spreadsheets to assist in HR/Fiscal operations

Other Information:

40 hours per week, generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
May work flexible hours as needed based on operational need.
Position is hybrid – combination of remote and in office. Office location will be in Oak Harbor.

Requirements:

High School Diploma required, Associate’s Degree in accounting, human resources or related field preferred, experience in and knowledge of accounting practices & procedures.
Must maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License and maintain a status of insurability for motor vehicle insurance in accordance with Clearwater policy.
Travel required to other locations as needed.

Compensation:

$16.85 - $18.00 per hour
