Position Description:

Are you a Registered Nurse seeking experience in a nurse education role? Want to work for one of Columbus' largest nonprofits, in a unique nursing setting? Interested in helping folks with developmental disabilities? ARC Industries is looking to welcome a Registered Nurse to our team. This role is a meaningful opportunity to work with other caring people while also gaining experience with; 1) patient advocacy, 2) staff training, 3) providing traditional nursing services, and 4) acting as a liaison to medical agencies in Columbus.

Job Duties:

Provide staff training on and supervision during medicine administration and crises .
Develop educational materials about the safety and health of participants.
Administer first-aid, medications, and other necessary medical procedures.
Partner with medical agencies on training and implementing medical directives.
Advocate for the health of participants during meetings (as needed).
Help participants acquire community, county, state, or federal medical assistance.
Monitor the health of participants with underlying conditions •.
(As needed) Update medical records and provide transportation for participants.

Requirements:

Licensed Registered Nurse (by The Ohio Board of Nursing).
Minimum of 18-months of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Valid State of Ohio Driver's License and vehicle insurance.

Preferred:

Having 1+ years of experience working with people with disabilities.

Travelinvolved:

As needed, van provided

Compensation:

Starts at $27 and increases with experience ; comprehensive benefits
