Ohio At Home works with children and adults who have an intellectual or developmental disability, and who need support to reach their full life potential. Our team of care professionals specialize in providing quality, person-centered care as we create meaningful partnerships with each client’s families, teachers, employers, medical teams, and all other functioning components of their support network. The creation and maintenance of significant personal relationships is central to the philosophy behind our care delivery and guides all that we do. Since 2015 we have had a great focus on utilizing assistive technology to advance the independence of our clients and bridge the gap between the powerful functionalities of technological innovations and the central tenants of personal, goal-oriented care. This journey began when we started exploring unique solutions to common problems faced by our first client as she navigated her environment in a wheelchair with limited dexterity. However, this idea began to pick up steam when we realized the broad applicability of and need for modern technologies to solve many of the persistent issues faced by the developmentally disabled community. In 2018, the value of our efforts was recognized when Governor John Kasich signed the groundbreaking Technology First executive order, which encouraged Service and Support Administrators to consider the ability of technology to provide members of the ID/DD community with more independence and safety, and to increase the utilization of these technologies. Position Description:

Director of Operations:

Administrative responsibility for supported living services across a regional area in keeping with person centered philosophy, Ohio at Home policies, and the regulations of the Medicaid Waiver Programs.

Duties:

Provide direct services in conjunction with the Individual Service Plan (ISP) as needed.
Assure compliance with Quality Assurance Reviews and follow-up according to DODD Provider Compliance and DODD Homebased and Community Services rules, as well as Quality Assurance for Medicaid Waiver programs per the standards and assurances for those programs.
Develop and implement annual budgets. Evaluate budget performance on a monthly basis.
Directly supervise Client Service Coordinators to include: interviewing and hiring; orientation and training; regular written evaluation; and disciplinary action as per personnel policies.
Develop proposals for service provision and negotiate these contracts with the county board of DD.
Assure for the provision of internal quality assurance mechanisms to assess quality of services provided.
Respond to emergency situations on an "on-call” basis per standards and/or policies of the company.
Participate in the training and on going development of employees throughout the company as needed and initiate obtaining other training as needed.
Maintain driving eligibility per policies and provide transportation as needed.
Actively coordinate efforts for inclusion in the community including increasing the person's circle of support.
Provide oversight to assure that services are implemented per the ISP.
Assure for the provision of the health and safety needs of persons served.
Complete investigations as necessary in cases of abuse/neglect or other MUI situations. Document patterns and trends in UI and MUI tracking and submit required reports.
Assume all administrative duties such as hiring, dismissal, approval of budgetary items, disciplinary process, and contact with outside agencies.
Support and create a culture of inclusivity, ongoing education, continuous growth of self and reports.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements & Preferences:

Administrative and leadership skills to direct operations across scattered service sites; • Working knowledge of business finance and human resources.
Working knowledge of business finance and human resources.
Administrative experience with supervising an operation encompassing several levels.
Knowledge of person-centered philosophy, behavior support techniques, standards and assurances for Medicaid waivers, and home bases and community services standards.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred.
