Echoing Hills is located in Warsaw, OH and is a faith-based, non-profit ministry with nearly 500 employees providing premier residential, vocational, educational, and camp services to persons with disabilities throughout the state of Ohio and internationally. For more than 50 years, Echoing Hills has supported thousands of families, friends and neighbors through their outreach to people with disabilities. Position Description:

The Staff Development Director:

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of Christian principles, ethics and morals and a faith in Jesus Christ, have strong communication and decision- making skills and possess organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Additional Skills and Characteristics: • Knowledge and competency in various methods of training and education techniques. • Ability to develop and conduct effective training programs for all staff levels in varied content areas. • Understanding of and ability to adapt to various adult learning styles. • Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals and build harmonious relationships. • Ability to develop, monitor, and manage budgets. • Ability to maintain discretion and integrity in handling confidential information. • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills. • Ability to deliver strong and consistent customer service. • Demonstrated proficiency of computer-based equipment and programs such as Microsoft © Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, G Suite (Google applications) and smart phone applications. • Ability to present a positive and professional image at all times including in a team environment. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and take initiative. • Ability to make decisions using mature judgement and by analyzing complex facts.

Duties:

Education/Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Nursing, Social Services or related field required.
Prior experience in a supervisory or staff development role required.
Minimum of 3 years prior I/DD experience or experience in a related field.
