Essential Compliance Officer/HR Functions for Privacy & Security

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course will focus on creating an organizational structure around daily routines necessary for an effective privacy and security program and the role that HR plays in making that happen.
Tools and templates will be included to help track a wide range of administrative
responsibilities, including:
- Enforcement of a Sanctions Policy
- Breach of reporting processes
- Documentation of who's authorized to access private information (and how much)
- New employee onboarding, including procuring email and network access and ensuring the completion of staff training
- Procedures for changing authorization levels when job roles change
- Assurance that job descriptions include privacy and security functions as appropriate (will include sample language)
- Performance evaluations that cover privacy and security functions as appropriate
- Procedures for revoking access - - to data and to buildings - - following employee terminations.
Learning objectives to build competency in:
- Management of essential privacy and security functions
- Integration of privacy and security duties across the organization
- Performance evaluations to job roles and uniform standards
